The world that you’re going out into is never pleasant, it never has been, but you have one anchor: the Lord Jesus Christ. You have one power: the power of the Holy Spirit. You have one message: the Gospel of the kingdom. And you are equipped, not because you’ve come here—we pray that we have contributed a tiny bit toward that which God has touched your heart with—but you are equipped because of what Jesus did at Calvary and what the mighty power of the Holy Spirit is continuing to do within your heart and within your life. Hold your head high and square your shoulders; what you have is bigger than a million devils because Jesus lives within your heart. Go out and win the lost at any cost. Go out and bring in the sheaves, rescue the perishing and care for the dying. Go out and let the world know that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Go out and preach the Word. Preach it without compromising it; preach it without favor; and preach it because the preach is within you. Live it because the Live-er is within you—Jesus Christ. Proclaim it because He is Lord of lords and King of kings forever and forever.
The words you just read are the same words I spoke to one of the first graduating classes of this college back in 1987. Since that time, now more than a quarter of a century ago, we’ve seen thousands of men and women from around the globe pass through this unique experience called World Evangelism Bible College and Seminary. Today, many of them serve the Lord in both ministry and in the mainstream workforce.
In obedience to the Lord and His leading, we’ve done everything we can to ensure that the students here learn the Bible from men and women of God who know the Word and believe it, and who understand the moving and operation of the Holy Spirit. Seventeen years ago, when the Lord revealed the Message of the Cross to me, we immediately made this message of Jesus Christ and Him crucified the cornerstone of our college curriculum. This word of truth will change your life; that I guarantee.
The Psalmist said, “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Ps. 119:105). That lamp and that light is, Jesus Christ and Him crucified (I Cor. 2:2). That means, also, that there is no other lamp, and no other light!
Should you choose to attend WEBC&S, we pledge to do our very best to help that lamp and that light to burn brighter and brighter in your heart and life.
